About the Vineyard
Vint Hill is on one of the nation’s most covert Army bases, meaning GPS will not easily find their location bringing you back to old school navigational skills. The building used to be a dairy barn over a 100 years ago, before becoming the secret Army location. They pride themselves on history and wine; because of the location and history they have a 100-barrel capacity making them a small craft winery that focuses on quality over quantity. Due to the small production in this craft winery their wines area always changing, never making the same thing two times in a row. Some of their most recent awards include: 2017 Jefferson Cup: Double Gold for Chardonnay Covert Wineworks 2016; Silver for Sangiovese Cover Wineworks 2015, Petit Verdot 2015 and Viognier Covert Wineworks 2016 2017 American Wine Society: Silver Medals for Covert Wineworks Chardonnay, Covert Wineworks Viognier, Covert Wineworks Enigma and the Petit Verdot.
