This wine has notes of rich black berry and fruits with hints of cocoa and cherry that slightly linger on the finish. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon which was aged in old-world style with 100% American Oak, using a combination of new and 2nd fill barrels.

About the Vineyard
Established in 1976, Pearmund Cellars, owned my Chris Pearmund, is in the beautiful foothills of eastern Fauquier County, VA, with over a 25-acre vineyard, 15 acres are dedicated to Chardonnay vines. From their vineyard they produce Chardonnay, Viognier, Riesling, Late Harvest Vidal, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Ameritage, and other award-winning Virginia wines. Off their tasting room you will find large glass door leading you into their Italian-tiled barrel room with Spanish antique gold fixtures. Pearmund has a unique barrel stacking system, which they introduced to the East Coast. Chris Pearmund also owns Effingham Manor Winey and Vint Hill Craft Winery.
