About the Vineyard
Creek's Edge Winery located in historic Taylorstown, Virginia sits along the lovely Catoctin Creek in Northern Virginia's Loudoun County. The vineyard on site includes 4.5 acres under vine, planted on a 17% grade. Initial varietals, included Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Initially these grapes were planted to sell to other vineyards, however as the vines matured, a new vision came to light. With a background in construction, a winery was envisioned and what a winery it is. It became a labor of love, mentoring his children and young men throughout the community, as well as building a business for his children to inherit and enjoy for years to come. Every effort was made to partner with the land, rather than change it, thus giving Creek's Edge an amazing wine while reducing the impact on the surrounding environment and wildlife.
