About the Vineyard
Castra Rubra began building a new, gravity flow winery in 2006 with state of the art equipment and an impressive barrel room. Most of its red wines are barrel fermented using all new French oak wine barrels. The Thracian Valley is one of the largest wine regions of Bulgaria, located along the country’s border with Greece and Turkey.
