About the Vineyard
The winery is located in the city of Siatista, is open to visitors, with traditional architecture that refers to a Siatista mansion and participates in the Wine Roads of Northern Greece (Wine Route of the Lakes). Stepping on the traces of the long-standing tradition of the region in combination with modern oenological techniques and ideas presents the local sun-dried Siatista coming from the cellar of Georgia Gkoutziamani with the mixing of three vintages 2001, 1985, 1978 of local varieties (xinomavro, muskomavro). Honoring a centuries-old tradition, they continue to this day to prepare with the same methods, this unique wine from the vineyards that our ancestors "scratched" on the stone ground of our country. A tradition that wants them to sunbathe their grapes (sweet and black, xinomavra, nigrikiotika) 60 whole days under shade. They take the "tear" of this precious fruit and close it with all their love in oak barrels of exclusive use, where after natural fermentation and several years of aging, they reach this special wine that are called Iliastos Siatista or iliatsi (medicine) because of its beneficial properties physically and mentally.
